Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small piece of text a website keeps in your browser. Websites can also keep information in your browser's storage. This page lists everything ironbarfitness.ca keeps there.

Needed for the site to work

• cookie_consent is a cookie that remembers whether you allowed analytics and the date you chose, so the notice doesn't come back on every page. It lasts 12 months.
• ironbar-cart-id is kept in your browser's local storage so your shop cart is still there when you come back. It stays until you clear your browser's data.
• dismissed_banner_ cookies remember that you closed a pop-up announcement, so it doesn't show again for a week.
• followCTADismissed is kept in session storage when you close the “follow us” prompt, and is cleared when you close the tab.
• sentryReplaySession is kept in session storage by Sentry, our error reporting service, for the length of your visit, so a problem can be traced if something breaks. It is cleared when you close the tab.
• Staff who sign in to the gym's dashboard get sign-in cookies from Supabase that keep them signed in. Members and visitors never get these.

These can't be switched off from the cookie notice.

Analytics, only if you allow it

• Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID. They tell visits apart so we can count visitors and see which pages they use, and they last up to two years.
• Vercel Analytics counts page views without setting cookies.

Both stay off until you choose “Allow analytics” in the cookie notice. If you later turn analytics off, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted and the page reloads without them.

Other sites

Shopify checkout, Mindbody and our Facebook and Instagram pages open on their own sites, where their own cookie policies apply.

Your choices

You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. You can also delete cookies or block them in your browser settings.
